Our mission at The Orthopedic Review is to provide you with information on top orthopedic providers while saving you time and money by helping you find the provider that suits your needs. General physician directories list everyone and verify almost no one. We take the opposite approach: one field of medicine — orthopedic, spine, neurosurgical, and extremity care — and a verification standard we actually enforce. A commitment to finding excellence is more than a mission statement; it is a promise to our patients and our providers.
How verification works
Profiles begin from public records and are labeled Unclaimed until the physician claims them. When a surgeon claims a profile, we confirm identity, active state licensure, and board certification before the Verified badge appears. If we can't verify it, the badge doesn't appear. Simple as that.
Where we're headed
Verification is phase one. Our roadmap adds verified patient reviews, practice-level accounts for multi-provider groups, and — the part we care most about — outcomes-based reporting, so patients can compare surgeons on results rather than reputation alone.
For patients
Everything on this site is free for patients. Listings are informational and never a substitute for medical advice. Surgeons pay for verification and enhanced profiles; they cannot pay for rankings, and a badge cannot be bought without passing verification.
